House of GraceOne of the projects currently being supported by Langley Free Church is the House of Grace project in Thailand. |

The House of Grace is located in Chantaburi province, 150 miles SE of Bangkok, where the incidence of people with HIV/AIDS is one of the highest in Thailand. The House of Grace Child Foundation (HGCF), recently registered under the Thailand Ministry of Culture, is the only non-government organization in the province involved in AIDS care and prevention activities. The number of orphaned children has risen to 44 (2-17 years). Of these, 18 are HIV positive. Two small buildings behind the school provide temporary refuge for HIV infected widows who help in the home and care for children when they are ill. Work has commenced on a permanent home for the House of Grace in December 2006. |
